LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - With a new approach, LMPD is seeing progress in its efforts to curb crime across the city.

The department has utilized the 2025 Crime Reduction Plan for roughly a year now.

“If the public is feeling positive about them, then they’re being treated in a better manner, which means that they’re being able to affect more crime because they’re getting more information,” Lt. Colonel Donny Burbrink said. “That’s what’s most important to me.”
