LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo Police are searching for a missing 78-year-old man who was last seen leaving a Walmart store.

Fernando Chavez was last seen at 2:41 p.m. on Dec. 3 leaving Walmart and walking westbound on Clark Boulevard. Police said it is unknown if he continued walking or may have taken a bus.

Chavez is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build and short white hair. He was wearing a blue flannel long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black shoes when he disappeared.

Police said Chavez has a medical condition that prevents him from asking for help. He also has a bad left eye that he cannot open and does not carry a cell phone.

Officers are canvassing areas near his last known location. Police are asking anyone who has seen Chavez to contact the Laredo Police Departmen
