A pair of all-New England defensive linemen for Tabor Academy who committed to UCLA earlier this year are going in different directions.
Carter Gooden, a 6-foot-4, 250-pounder, has changed his college commitment from the Bruins to Tennessee, according to Rivals.
Gooden was named the NEPSAC Lineman of the Year.
Meanwhile, the 6-foot-4, 280-pound Marcus Almada has officially signed to play for UCLA next year, his family announced on social media.
Both Almada and Gooden were instrumental in Tabor Academy’s perfect season that was capped off by beating Buckingham Browne & Nichols School 42-21 in the John Papas Bowl last month.
The Seawolves (9-0) captured back-to-back New England championships for the first time in school history.
