One day after Mina Raky rescued his family of six from a fire in their garage, he wondered if his Tesla was behind the flames.

Raky told WESH 2 he walked into his garage Tuesday morning because he heard a popping, and he saw "black smoke from the Tesla. I have a Model Y. I had a Model Y. You couldn't see much besides black coming out."

His four children, wife and dog were inside the home. All got out, his daughter jumping from a window. A Sanford police officer rescued his dog, Leo, who was still in the hospital one day later.

Sanford's Fire Marshal Matt Minnetto told WESH 2 they don't know the cause just yet.

The report states, "the origin of the fire was found to be at or around the Tesla charging station in the garage."
