SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- President Trump spoke with Brazil’s President on Tuesday , discussing trade, the economy, and fighting against organized crime.
Last month, Trump removed 40% tariffs on Brazilian foods, like beef, cocoa, fruits, and coffee. Brazil–typically supplies the United States with a third of its coffee.
In the U.S., the average price for a pound of ground coffee hit $9.14 in September, according to the Associated Press. That marked a 3 percent increase from August and 41% higher than prices in September 2024.
