HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) -- After more than half a century, the owners of the award-winning Sanchez Feed and Seed Incorporated in Kings County are taking a step back.

Local customers and the owner, Greg Sanchez, shared that they will definitely miss the feed store not only because of the products it offers, but also the community built within it.

Greg recalls, "We used to have an annual chick day. Every year in April, we gave away free chicks. My daughter, Megan, my niece, Tess, my son, Derek, and that is my wife, Charlie Chicken," as he looked through more than 50 years of memories.

Greg reflects on the decades he has spent running Hanford's largest locally owned feed store, Sanchez Feed and Seed Incorporated.
