SAN ANTONIO — Some things have always been indicative of the Christmas season's start.

Colder temperatures. Mariah Carey on the radio. The emergence of lights on gutters, stockings over the fireplace. Snow on the ground (well, maybe not in Texas).

Recent years have brought a new annual sign that the calendar is on its last page: The arrival of Spotify Wrapped, a personalized rundown of listeners' favorite songs, artists and genres over the course of the year on the popular platform with more than 700 million users.

This year's Wrapped dropped Wednesday . At the same time, Spotify announced that Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny dethroned Taylor Swift as the top-streamed artist around the world.

The Weeknd, Drake and Billie Eilish rounded out the top five.
