BUFFALO, N.Y. — A home baker from Buffalo will have a lot to celebrate when he appears in the national spotlight.

Michael Mararian will be on Gordon Ramsey's new holiday cooking competition, called "Next Level Baker." Mararian joined 2 On Your Side 's Melissa Holmes in studio on Wednesday morning for Daybreak, sharing more details about the competition.

"If you know 'Next Level Chef,' it's three kitchens, almost like the old center square," Mararian said. "So you see the bottom is a junky kitchen, almost like a Mad Max kitchen where things aren't working, and then the middle kitchen is like a restaurant kitchen, and then the top kitchen is like a Michelin star, so it's kind of a draw, and you end up in whatever kitchen you end up in.
