A sergeant with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office’s criminal patrol division has been fired and arrested on a count of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, the agency said Wednesday.
Sean Gowan, 34, was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center following an investigation by the sheriff’s office’s Public Integrity Bureau and Major Crimes Division.
Gowan had been employed by the sheriff’s office since October 2014.
No further information was made available.
