BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The quarterback of LSU’s 2003 national championship team, Matt Mauck, visited with WAFB-TV sports director Jacques Doucet on the recent hiring of new Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin. Mauck shared his thoughts on Kiffin’s career and new opportunity at LSU, while also criticizing the current state of college football. Mauck also says he’s not happy with the way Scott Woodward was fired as LSU’s athletic director and the process that landed Kiffin in Baton Rouge. Mauck also believes Ole Miss should’ve allowed Kiffin to coach the Rebels during the College Football Playoff.
