MANHATTAN — Kansas State football coach Chris Klieman could have one more game to coach after he announced his retirement on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Klieman delivered a nearly seven-minute statement on Wednesday in front of a crowded Vanier Family Football Complex theater at Bill Snyder Family Stadium, but didn't say whether he would coach the Wildcats in their upcoming bowl game.
By defeating Colorado on Nov. 29, the Wildcats clinched their fifth-straight bowl appearance and their sixth in seven years under Klieman. The game, location and date will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 7.
Whether Klieman coaches in the game is still to be determined.
"We haven't gotten that far," athletic director Gene Taylor said. "He really wants me to talk to the players first to see what their interest is.
