Solvang visitors and business owners are giving mixed reviews to the temporary closure of Copenhagen Drive from Alisal Road to 1st Street to accommodate the seasonal increase in pedestrian traffic.

“It’s horrible, horrible, horrible. Horrible. No one asked, and the people on the council don’t have a business on this block. I’m extremely upset, and I talked to the mayor and he said, ‘There’s nothing I can do. We’re protecting the pedestrians.’ No way on God’s green Earth am I happy,” said Sue Manning who, since 2001, has owned Elna’s Dress Shop at 1673 Copenhagen Dr.
