Alabama just took a major hit in the trenches heading into the SEC title bout with Georgia.

Defensive lineman LT Overton popped up as OUT on the Tide’s first SEC availability report for Saturday’s showdown. Sideline Bama dropped the update on X, writing, “LT Overton has been ruled OUT for Alabama versus Georgia.”

The injury or the reason behind Overton’s unavailability hasn’t been made public.

That’s a tough blow. Overton’s been a quiet wrecking ball this season with 33 tackles, four sacks, and a highlight-reel night the last time he faced the Dawgs. He stacked six tackles and delivered the game-saving stop on Georgia’s final drive, dragging down Cash Jones on fourth down to seal it.

Now the Tide has to roll without one of their top disruptors when it matters most.
