Peter DeBoer has spent the first part of this season away from the NHL, taking time to rest after his exit from the Dallas Stars. The veteran coach, who was sacked by the Stars in June this year, now appears ready to step back into the league.

During an appearance on SiriusXM NHL Radio, the 57-year-old coach expressed his desire to return to coaching in the NHL.

“I don’t think there’s any question I want to coach again,” he said. “I’ve enjoyed my time off, but the juices are flowing and I would love to get back in and have an opportunity to win a Stanley Cup.”
