Lane Kiffin finally ended the rumor mill on Sunday, bailing on Ole Miss. The same Ole Miss that’s marching into the College Football Playoff with legit Natty hopes. After leaving Ole Miss, Kiffin switched to LSU, a program already out of the postseason picture.

And he didn’t jump for pennies.

Kiffin just locked in the bag: a $91 million deal at LSU, paying him $13 million a year, making him the second-highest paid coach in all of college football. Only Georgia’s Kirby Smart is still sitting on the throne with his $130M monster contract.

CBS Sports threw the numbers on Instagram. Writing, “Lane Kiffin is set to be among the highest paid coaches in all of college football at LSU.”

And like a canon event, fans jumped right in, lighting up the comments.
