DUNDEE – Larry Middleton is two games into his tenure as Dundee’s boys basketball coach.

The former Monroe coach likes what he has seen so far.

The Vikings moved to 2-0 with a 47-46 overtime victory over Milan on Wednesday, Dec. 3.

“We did not play our best tonight in any facet, but our defense was good enough and our free-throw shooting was pretty good,” Middleton said. “Sometimes the team that plays the best don’t always win and that might have happened tonight.”

Middleton never won his first two games during six seasons at Monroe.

“This is the first time we’ve ever started with two wins,” he said. “That feels pretty good. Our kids are buying into what we are doing. It’s good to see that.”

Luke Bishop led the winners with 17 points while Wyatt Hickey added 12 and Levi Evans 10.
