EUGENE - Oregon coach Kelly Graves said before the season that he hoped his small-ball lineup would create “havoc” for opponents.
The Ducks created the level of havoc Graves dreamed was possible Wednesday night during a spectacular first half on the way to a 96-73 victory over Oregon State at Matthew Knight Arena.
Oregon did just about whatever it wanted on the way to a 57-27 halftime lead.
“That first half, we played about as well as we could play,” Graves said.
Graves didn’t leave the floor feeling completely satisfied, lamenting “a tale of two halves,” referring to a sloppy third quarter that allowed OSU to cut into the margin.
