BROOKINGS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The South Dakota State women’s basketball team took control early and beat Weber State 87-56 Wednesday night at First Bank & Trust Arena.
The Jackrabbits jumped out to an 11-2 lead early on and stretched their advantage to 30 by halftime behind 52% shooting and a 15-for-15 effort from the free throw line for the first half. SDSU led by as many as 43 points on its way to a 31-point victory in the first game of the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge this year.
Brooklyn Meyer put up 19 points in 21 minutes and was one of seven Jackrabbit players to finish with at least eight points.
