A woman from Clydebank is to complete an epic 827-mile run, the length of the UK, in memory of her best friend with epilepsy who died.

Caitlin Andrew, 25, is to run from Land's End in Cornwall to John O'Groats over 35 days next summer to raise £5000 for Epilepsy Scotland , after her best pal Tyla-Neve Malone passed away at 19 from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) in March.

Caitlin says Tyla, from Drumchapel , would tell her she was 'out her bloody mind' for taking on such a huge challenge in her honour.

She added: "I think she would just be taken aback by it, especially by all the support that's been given through the time of her passing. She was a really well-known girl, and it's not just the family and friends, but the Drumchapel community as well felt it.
