North Dakota State scored 15 seconds into the game and never relinquished its lead behind strong shooting and a dominating rebounding performance en route to a 90-65 win over Montana State on Wednesday as the Big Sky Conference-Summit League Challenge tipped off in the Scheels Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

NDSU (6-2) shot lights out in the opening half, hitting at a 60.7% clip, including 75% (6 of 8) from beyond the 3-point line. Montana State (5-2) shot a respectable 48.3% from the field in the opening 20 minutes, but the Bison entered intermission with a 49-38 advantage.

The Bobcats cut the margin to nine points early in the third quarter before NDSU pushed the margin back to double digits and MSU would get no closer.
