The UK faces a horror -6C snow bomb - within days - as an Arctic blast hammers the country ahead of Christmas . Parts of the country are set to be battered by more cold weather and even snow in just a few days time.

Forecasters at WX Charts, using Met Desk data, show parts of Scotland could see their first flakes amid an Arctic blast on December 16, just days before Christmas.

Ventusky maps and charts, which mirror the projections from WX Charts, which have been compiled using the advanced GFS model, show the UK faces -6C lows at around midnight on December 16, as icy blue covers maps.
