Michiru View Girls Secondary School has announced the premature closure of its boarding section after violent student demonstrations erupted on the night of December 3, 2025, causing damage to school property.
In a notice issued to parents and guardians, management said all boarding learners were ordered to leave the campus on December 4, 2025, effectively bringing the first term of the 2025/2026 academic year to an unexpected end.
The school says the measure is aimed at safeguarding students while authorities assess the extent of the destruction and investigate the cause of the unrest.
The development has drawn attention because it comes almost exactly a year after a similar incident at the institution’s boys’ school.
