A major shake-up of driving laws in the UK will see certain cars banned in 2030.

It will be the biggest change in decades on UK roads with new rules about what types of cars people can buy.

Under existing plans, all new petrol and diesel cars will be banned from the start in just over four years' time under a shift towards electric vehicles (EVs).

It means new petrol and diesel motors will no longer be for sale in the UK.

It will mark the start of the gradual phasing out of these cars as the motoring landscape shifts dramatically.
