A piece of emergency equipment in Coventry city centre has gone missing. The defibrillator at Fargo Village was used during an emergency call at the start of November.

But it has not been returned since. The Business Improvement District (BID), which leads on safety initiatives including the installation of defibrillators, says they have not been able to locate the device.

They are asking for anyone with information to get in touch.

Stuart Grainger, Security Manager at Coventry BID, said: “This is a vital piece of life saving equipment for the community in the city centre, they are very costly to replace and we are urgently calling out for its return.

“Community defibrillators save lives and every minute without one can be the difference between life and death in an emergency.
