Officers are trying to track down two men who could be key witnesses following an alleged stabbing in Rochdale . Greater Manchester Police says it was called out to reports of a stabbing on Butts Avenue at around 2am on Saturday morning (November 1).

The force says a man in his 20s was seriously injured. Officers arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of assault in connection with the alleged incident.

In a statement issued this morning (December 4), GMP confirmed the teenager had since been charged with assault. He cannot be named for legal reasons.

GMP says two men are yet to be identified as part of their investigation. A force spokesperson added: "Officers would like to speak to the men pictured who they believe could assist their investigation."
