Known for its enormous gas stations, famously tidy restrooms and fan-favorite brisket sandwich, Buc-ee’s holds a particular place in road-trippers’ hearts. For one Missouri baby, it now holds an even more unusual distinction: it’s where she was born.

“Everything happened so fast. One minute we were timing contractions, and the next we were in the Buc-ee’s parking lot meeting our daughter,” Jena Birdsong, 29, tells TODAY.com. She says she’d seen stories like this before, the surprise roadside delivery, and always thought to herself, “That’ll never be me.”
