Gavin McComas, proprietor and former owner of Sundance Natural Foods , died Nov. 25. He was 79 years old. Over the past week, an outpouring of love and tenderness has rippled through Eugene as community members, Sundance shoppers, friends, and family shared memories about McComas and his legacy in Eugene.

"Sundance is the iconic institution of southeast Eugene, and we've seen that in the sentiments that people have shared since Gavin's passing," Ty Bell, front-end manager at Sundance, said. "Gavin impacted so many people by being here for so many years."
