WASHINGTON —
Lawmakers overseeing national security are expected to meet with Admiral Frank "Mitch" Bradley, who the Trump administration says ordered a second strike on an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean Sea in September.
"The investigation is going to be done by the numbers," said Sen. Roger Wicker, the chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee. "We'll find out the ground truth."
The incident has drawn significant attention due to reports that the first strike on the boat killed nine people, and a subsequent strike was ordered , resulting in the deaths of two more individuals who were reportedly clinging to the wreckage.
AP sources claim the Pentagon knew there were survivors, yet the U.S. military proceeded with the follow-up attack.
