Stephen Robinson has defended his St Mirren keeper after he faced the Dons following a recent family tragedy.
Shamal George has struggled in recent outings, losing cheap goals against Dundee and Aberdeen , with the Buddies boss revealing he flew up to Scotland for the Pittodrie clash. But Robinson was delighted to see George and his St Mirren teammates snatch a point from their trip to the Granite City with a 99th-minute equaliser, writes Record Sport .
Robinson stated: "Shamal George has suffered a family tragedy. He only flew up on Wednesday. It was for his teammates to pull him out because he’s pulled them out of things before. They have to protect each other."
St Mirren are in a dire run in the league. They sit second bottom but this point halted their losing run. Robins
