Aberdeen has been named the UK city with the highest odds of experiencing a white Christmas this year.

With the festive season well and truly upon us, people are looking ahead to the big day itself and the question on many people's mind is if it will snow on Christmas Day. Now, new odds have revealed that the Granite City has the best odds of seeing the white stuff at a 50% chance.

Unsurprisingly, Scottish cities dominated the market, with Edinburgh and Glasgow following Aberdeen at the top of the table. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow have a 44.4% chance of having a white Christmas.

Outside of Scotland, Newcastle is the English city where residents are most likely to experience a white Christmas. The northeast city has a 40% chance of snow falling on Christmas Day.
