The National Weather Service issued a report at 7:09 a.m. on Thursday for snow showers until 8 a.m. for Western Essex and Eastern Essex.
"At 7:09 a.m., snow showers were reported along a line extending from near Waterville to near Lake Placid. Movement was southeast at 25 mph," states the weather service. "Gusty winds may blow around unsecured objects. Low visibility will pose a hazard to motorists. Accumulating snow will make travel difficult."
