FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The 25th-ranked Razorbacks (6-2) built a big lead and held off No. 6 Louisville (7-1) 89-80 Wednesday night in the Cardinals' first loss of the season.

Senior forward Trevon Brazile scored 21 points, including 17 in the first half and 14 of Arkansas' first 23. Freshman guards Darius Acuff Jr. and Meleek Thomas added 17 points apiece for Arkansas.

Louisville never once led in the game. Freshman guard Mikel Brown Jr. paced the Cardinals with 22 points, but he shot just 2 of 13 from 3-point range. Senior guard Ryan Conwell, the team’s leading scorer, added 15 points on 4-of-16 shooting.
