CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman has been charged in a shooting that killed a mother in the South Loop last September, Chicago police said Thursday.

Romeca Meeks-Blackmon was killed while dropping-off her son at school at about 9:06 a.m. on September 8 in the first block of West Cermak Road.

At the time police said the shooting was domestic in nature.

Thursday morning, police said Quadajah Johnson, 31, of Des Plaines was arrested Wednesday and has been charged with first degree murder in connection with the shooting.
