CHICAGO (WLS) -- Italian Village Chicago marked Cabernet Franc Day on ABC7 Eyewitness News highlighting three styles of the popular winter wine.

Jared Gelband walked viewers through Italian, French and California Cabernet Francs, offering tasting tips, pairing ideas and guidance on price ranges. He also previewed upcoming winter events at Italian Village, Sotto and Bar Sotto.

Cabernet Franc Day, celebrated each year on December 4, has gained traction for showcasing a versatile red often praised for its cold-weather appeal.
