LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Temperatures will be below average today for much of Central and Eastern Nebraska. The western part of the state should be close to average for early December. Temperatures look to be close to and above average across the state on Friday. Next chance of precipitation arrives Saturday.

Today will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, cold and a bit breezy. Winds look to be south-southwest at 8 to 18 mph for much of the day. High temperatures will range from the low 20s in Eastern Nebraska to the low 40s in the western part of the state.

Friday looks to be partly to mostly cloudy and warmer. Low temperatures will be in the upper teens to upper 20s. Winds should be west-northwest at 5 to 15 mph.
