A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Thursday at 8:16 a.m. for heavy snow until 9 a.m. for Clinton and Essex counties.
"At 8:15 a.m., heavy snow was reported along a line extending from Franklin to South Hero. Movement was south at 15 mph," says the weather service. "Gusty winds may blow around unsecured objects. Low visibility may pose a hazard to motorists. Accumulating snow will make travel difficult."
