A new map shows the impact of an earthquake that hit the UK with a magnitude of 3.4.
The earthquake's epicentre was in Lancashire, with dozens of people reporting being woken up by the shaking and police saying there were reports of "explosions". The British Geological Survey (BGS) said the impact was "felt across the South Lakes and Lancashire, mainly within 20km of the epicentre".
The tremor hit shortly after 11.23pm and could be felt across the UK according to VolcanoDiscovery. A map created by the organisation, which alerts the public about volcanoes and earthquakes, said the shock measured a 3.4 magnitude at a 10km depth.
