Winnipeg police are investigating an armed robbery at a McPhillips Street hotel after four masked suspects entered the building early Monday and threatened staff with handguns.
Police say officers were called just after 2 a.m. on Dec. 1 to a hotel in the 1–99 block of McPhillips Street for a robbery in progress. According to investigators, four suspects wearing masks walked into the lobby armed with handguns, confronted a front desk employee, damaged property and forced open a cash register. The group fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation. No arrests have been made.
