Adrian Chiles has revealed he has been diagnosed with skin cancer. The TV presenter has had an operation to remove a suspicious patch of skin on his shoulder and a biopsy later revealed it was cancerous.

Adrian, 58, told how he was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in his latest column for the Guardian , but reassured readers that it is thankfully 'nothing serious'.

The presenter said he booked an appointment with a dermatologist after spotting a change to his shoulder. The patch was removed to check if it was cancerous and the former One Show host admitted he was fraught with worry while waiting for the results.
