Officials across Cleveland are reporting that enrollment is rising across several Jewish day schools around the area and those representatives are citing both the vibrant community and progress within their institutions as reasons for the uptick.
Rabbi Simcha Dessler, menahel and educational director of the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland in Cleveland Heights, said this year’s jump in numbers continues a trend the school has been seeing for some time.
“During the past decade, Hebrew Academy of Cleveland has experienced a steady, consistent and healthy increase in its enrollment,” Dessler said. “Welcoming 44 new families this year, the academy’s current enrollment of 1,550 students reflects the highest in the history of the school.”
