GEORGE Edmundson has a chance of returning to the Middlesbrough squad at Hull City on Friday night- but Dael Fry and Luke Ayling are again set to be missing.

Aidan Morris resumed training on Thursday after missing last week's game against Derby.

The absence of Ayling, Fry and Edmundson as well as Darragh Lenihan has left Boro particularly stretched in the centre of defence,

Boro 's back four of Callum Brittain, Alfie Jones, Matt Targett and Alex Bangura - who came through his return to action after a long absence unscathed - is likely to be unchanged on Friday night, but Edmundson has a chance of being named as a substitute.

The former Ipswich defender hasn't featured for Boro since the draw with Stoke at the end of September.
