A video of a dog named Marlee shaking uncontrollably while being cuddled by her foster mom has gone viral on TikTok, earning more than 3 million views.
The heartbreaking footage shows Marlee, wrapped in a towel robe, in the arms of Jess from Alabama (@jessfromalabama). Jess says she “wasn’t going to leave her” in the shelter. She adds that she is going to love the terrified pup—who appears to be a Staffordshire terrier or pit bull—until they find her a forever family.
Studies and shelter reports link foster care to higher live-release and adoption rates, and fewer euthanasias, especially for dogs in the U.S.
