AMADO, Ariz. — A significant drug bust at the I-19 U.S. Border Patrol Checkpoint in Amado resulted in the seizure of 43 pounds of methamphetamine.
On November 29, an X-ray inspection revealed 44 bundles of meth hidden under the bed liner of a Chevy S-10, according to a social media post by U.S. Border Patrol Chief Michael W. Banks.
The drugs were promptly seized, and the driver was arrested.
The individual now faces federal drug possession charges.
