It’s the most wonderful time of the year, aka Spotify Wrapped week , when the streaming service dishes out stats based on users’ listening habits for the year and social media practically bursts at the seams with people sharing their very hip or very horrifying results (there is no in-between, and I will not be proven wrong).
Though Spotify has been sharing a sort of personal year in review since 2015, then called “Year In Music” before rebranding to the “Wrapped” moniker in 2016, there are, as always , a few new twists in this year’s data sets, including one that has many—including a few Vanity Fair staffers—dangerously close to spiraling into existential crisis.
