Spotify has launched its annual Wrapped series for 2025, providing users with a personalized summary of their listening habits. Released on December 3, the Wrapped feature highlights the most-streamed artists, songs, and albums of the year. This year, Grammy-winning artist Bad Bunny was named the most-streamed artist globally, amassing nearly 20 billion streams. He surpassed Taylor Swift, who held the title in 2024 with over 26.6 billion streams. In the United States, Swift was recognized as the top artist for 2025. Bad Bunny's album, "Debí Tirar Más Fotos," was also the most-streamed album of the year, followed by the soundtrack from "KPop Demon Hunters." The most-streamed song of 2025 was "Die With a Smile" by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, which garnered 1.7 billion streams. Other popular tracks included Billie Eilish's "Birds of a Feather," Rosé and Bruno Mars' "APT," Alex Warren's "Ordinary," and Bad Bunny's "DtMF." Spotify Wrapped 2025 introduces several new features aimed at enhancing user experience. Among these is a "listening age" feature that compares users' musical preferences to those of others in their age group. Additionally, users can now view their top albums, podcasts, and audio genres based on their listening habits. For the first time, Spotify Wrapped includes messages from authors of users' favorite audiobooks, featuring well-known writers like Dan Brown and James Patterson. Another new addition is the "Spotify Club," which connects users with similar musical tastes through community engagement. The Wrapped experience also includes a "Listening Archive," allowing users to explore significant streaming days and nostalgic listening moments from the past year. Users can access their Wrapped summary by clicking on the "Your 2025 Wrapped is Here!" banner on the Spotify home screen. In addition to Spotify, other streaming services like Apple Music and YouTube Music have released their own year-end recaps. Apple Music's Replay feature, which compiles users' listening data, was released on December 2. YouTube Music also launched its recap on the same day, providing users with insights into their most-listened-to songs and artists. Spotify Wrapped has been a popular feature since its debut in 2015, evolving over the years to include more personalized data and interactive elements. This year's release continues that trend, offering users a fun and engaging way to reflect on their musical journey over the past year.
