HAMLIN TOWNSHIP, MI – This iconic Lake Michigan lighthouse could get a big facelift.
Fundraising is underway for a $450,000 project to restore the exterior of the Big Sable Point Lighthouse keepers’ dwelling at Ludington State Park.
To kick things off, the Jeffris Family Foundation of Janesville, Wis., has pledged $150,000. Lakeshore Keepers , which manages the lighthouse, has until June 2028 to raise the remaining to $300,000 to access the grant.
