CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - One Jackson County man was arrested after he was accused of stealing a truck as well as hitting someone in the back of the head with a weapon.

The incident happened in Clay County. It started when a man, identified as John Stapleton who was in custody, reported to KSP troopers that his truck had been stolen between Nov. 11 and 12.

Stapleton told police that Jonathan Brumley, 52, of Annville, he pressed the muzzle of a revolver against the back of his head before firing the weapon and “burning him.” Troopers said they later found two round burn marks consistent with Stapleton’s description of the event.

Stapleton also said that Brumley hit him the back of the head with the pistol, making him unconscious.

Stapleton told police that he had went to a home on 340 K
