TOWN OF ROCKLAND – A member of the Rockland Central School District Board of Education has been arrested as a first offense for driving while intoxicated while on his way to a school board meeting on November 3, 2025.
The district was formed earlier this year after the Roscoe and Livingston Manor districts merged.
According to a State Police report filed by troopers at the Roscoe barracks, Thomas Ward, 50, of Livingston Manor was stopped and arrested at 6:16 p.m. He was charged with misdemeanors of driving while intoxicated as a first offense and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent as a first offense.
He was released to a third party.
