If you're holding out hope that a $2,000 stimulus check will hit your bank account, President Donald Trump continues to say it will happen.

Trump made more remarks about the possibility of a tariff dividend payment during a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

"Next year is projected to be the largest tax refund season ever, and we're going to be giving back refunds out of the tariffs, as we have taken in literally trillions of dollars," Trump said early in the meeting, reported USA TODAY. "We're going to be giving a nice dividend to the people in addition to reducing debt."
