SARATOGA SPRINGS — The stage of Universal Preservation Hall became a throwback to a simpler time when the quartet presented an evening of doo-wop and provided a transcendental journey to yesteryear during its Nov. 22 show.
The quartet is made up of performers who have each appeared in one or more productions of “Jersey Boys” and didn’t want the music to end when they left the show. The group in various iterations has been appearing on the road and on PBS for more than a decade — continuing to play, as they say, the sounds of AM radio.
